Mount Isa School of the Air is staffed by a principal, deputy principal, business manger, primary and secondary teachers, a teacher-librarian, support teacher-literacy and numeracy, field team, instrumental music teacher, Languages other than English (LOTE) teachers, technical officer, parent liaison officer, administration officers, teacher aides, gardener and cleaner.
Field services
Our school provides quality field service opportunities for students through cyclical visits to families, assistance with classroom set-up, teaching strategies, activity days, group days, camps and mini-schools.
Support teacher - literacy and numeracy
Our support teacher - literacy and numeracy works with students who are working below their year level standard. An individualised program is developed for each student to assist them to reach year level standard.
